LABOR DOULA
Historically, women have been attended and supported by other women during labor. The word “doula” comes from ancient Greek, meaning “a woman who serves”. A birth and labor doula serves as your own personal birth consultant and focuses on emotional, physical and informational support throughout your pregnancy, labor and the early postpartum period. You deserve a good birth experience and as your doula, I would be honored to support you.
CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION
How educated you are about birth can impact your birth experience. Knowledge is about power. Knowledge is about confidence. Knowledge is about finding your voice. Knowledge is about advocating for yourself. A childbirth education course is for those interested in medicated births, unmedicated births, hospital births, birth center births or home births. In other words, a childbirth education course is for any pregnant person and also for their partners. This class will leave you feeling more informed, more prepared and more confident.
BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT
Breastfeeding is natural but it’s not always easy. Getting breastfeeding information and support before and after birth can be vital to the success of the breastfeeding journey. Many women do not breastfeed for as long as they would like. In fact, statistics show that breastfeeding rates start to drop just a few days after birth and continue to fall in the first 6 months and more of the child’s life. But with knowledge, support and encouragement, breastfeeding is significantly easier. Let me help you achieve your breastfeeding goals and start off your breastfeeding jouney right.
